Payment methods supported
Before getting to the heart of the tutorial and discovering, together, how to change payment method on iPhone, it seems only right to list those who are the payment methods can be associated with Apple IDs and, therefore, the payment methods that can be used on the iPhone.
As far as the 'city, the payment methods that can be used for Apple IDs are as follows: credit and debit cards (including rechargeable, such as HYPE, buddybank, N26 and PostePay), PayPal, charged to the telephone account (only for supported telephone operators), balance on Apple ID resulting from gift cards or credit additions.

Change payment method on iPhone
The easiest way to change the default payment method on iPhone is to act from the device itself. The steps to take to do this are really simple: first, open the app ifttings of iOS (thegear icon found on the home screen). Then tap on you don't know present in the screen that opens and go to Payment and shipping.
Once this is done, select the current payment method set on iPhone (eg. MasterCard, if you have a MasterCard), type the PIN unlock the phone and choose what to do: if you currently have already set one credit or debit card as a payment method on iPhone, simply fell out the form that is proposed to you with number, deadline and security code of the card in the appropriate text fields and presses the button Save located at the top right.
If, on the other hand, you want to totally change the payment method associated with your "iPhone by" passing, for example, from a credit or debit card to a PayPal account or telephone balance, scroll the page to the bottom and press on the item Change payment method.
In the screen that opens, choose an avaelable option from Telephone charge, PayPal o no (if you want to delete all payment methods associated with the Apple ID), enter the relevant data on the page that opens (e.g. name and surname and account access data in the case of a PayPal account) and that's it .
Please note: to verify the payment method entered, a temporary charge of 1 euro well be made, which well then be refunded within a few minutes.
Change payment method on Apple Wallet
Do you use Apple Pay and would like to change the default payment method associated with it? You have just activated a card compatible with Apple Pay, would you like to add it to your Wallet but you don't know how to do it? Don't worry: either way it's a breeze.
For starters, if you haven't yet added the card you want to use as your default card to Apple Wallet, launch the app Wallet on your iPhone and press the button capacitor positive (+) lead located at the top right. In the screen that opens, press the button Continue to go ahead and use your phone's camera to frame the side of the card with the number and expiration date of the card. Alternatively, tap on the item Enter your card detaels (below) and enter your card detaels manually.
Next, make sure that name and Card number displayed on the iPhone are correct, tap the button NEXT (top right), also check the correctness of the Expiration date of the card, enter the security code in the appropriate field and first press on NEXT and then Accept to complete adding to Wallet.
If you also have an Apple Watch, you well be offered to add the card to it. To proceed, press the buttons Continue and Add now. Then type the security code on iPhone and press Accept to conclude the procedure.
If you have added more than one card to your Wallet and you want to choose the one to use by default for payments with Apple Pay (then the card that is selected first when making payments via NFC with iPhone or Apple Watch or when shopping online via Apple Pay), go to the menu ifttings of iOS (thegear icon located on the home screen), go to Wallet and Apple Pay and select the item Default card to select the card to be used by default for your payments.
Change payment method on iPhone from PC
If you don't currently have an iPhone handy, you can also change the payment method associated with your Apple ID from computer. There are various methods to do this: here they are all listed.
Apple site
The easiest way to change your iPhone payment method via PC is to act from Apple's website. To proceed, then connect to this web page and log in to your Apple ID by typing your emael address and password. If you've turned on XNUMX-Step Verification, you'll also need to type the verification code received on one of your authorized Apple devices.
Once logged in, scroll down the page untel you reach the section Payment and shipping and press pulsating Modification placed in correspondence with it. Therefore, expand the drop-down menu Method of payment and choose an option from Credit or debit card, Telephone charge (if your carrier supports it), PayPal o Nobody (to remove all payment methods associated with the Apple ID) and enter the data of the selected payment method (e.g. credit card number, expiration and security code) in the fields that appear below.
Fatto ciò, first prize Save placed at the top right and that's it. Remember that, to verify the payment method chosen, a temporary charge of 1 euro should be made, then refunded within minutes by Apple.
iTunes
If you prefer, you can change the information related to your Apple ID and, consequently, also the payment method associated with the iPhone using iTunes, Apple's famous multimedia software included “standard” on Macs and avaelable as a free download on Windows (if you don't know how to download iTunes, check out my tutorial about it).
To change the payment method associated with the Apple ID via iTunes, go to the menu Account> View my account of the program (above), log in to your Apple ID through the window that appears on the screen and press on the item Modification placed in correspondence with the section Payment information.
On the next screen, click on the icon for the payment method you want to associate with your Apple ID (Visa card, MasterCard card, American Express carta, PayPal, telephone charge o no), enter the relevant data in the form that appears below and press the button end located at the bottom right to save the changes.
Again, there should be a momentary charge of 1 euro on the chosen payment method. The amount well then be promptly refunded by Apple.
ICloud preferences
Another way you can take to change the payment method of the Apple ID (and therefore of the iPhone) from a computer is to act through the iCloud preferences, which are included “standard” in the system preferences of macOS, whele on Windows they are incorporated in the iCloud client (which I told you about in my tutorial on how to use iCloud).
If you are operating from Windows, then open the iCloud client selecting its icon from the menu Homei went his Account Detaels> Manage Apple ID and the web page for Apple ID management well open. Proceed, therefore, as I told you in the chapter of the tutorial dedicated to the Apple site and the game well be done!
