Remove the PIN on the iPhone
Assuming that remove the PIN on the iPhone it is an operation as simple as it is fast and for the implementation of which it is absolutely not necessary to be great experts in terms of smartphones and even less of new technologies in general, to carry out this operation the first fundamental step that you have to do is to grab your Apple-branded phone, access the home screen and press the button ifttings (I cheer with the gear wheel).
In the screen that is shown to you at this point, presses on the item Mobele phone (Telephone if you are using an iOS version prior to 12) and select the wording SIM PIN. In the screen that well subsequently open a stage on the switch that you find in correspondence with the wording SIM PIN in such a way as to bring it up OFF.
Now enter the PIN code of your SIM card in the screen that is proposed to you and then press on the item end at the top right to complete the entire procedure. After doing this, the switch related to the SIM PIN item on which you previously pressed it well turn color White (instead of green as when it is active) and the code on your card well be deactivated (not only on the iPhone but also on all other mobele phones on which you well eventually enter it).
Obviously, should you have second thoughts, you can re-enable the PIN code of your card simply by going back to the section Mobele phone of the settings of the device (Telephone if you use iOS 11 or earlier), by tapping on SIM PIN, pressing the switch next to the wording SIM PIN in the new screen that appears and typing the code associated with your card. By doing in this motion the switch located next to the item SIM PIN well be brought up ON and the use of the code well be immediately re-enabled.
Alternatives to the PIN code
As an alternative to the PIN code which, I want to let you know, does not protect the entire mobele phone but only and exclusively the use of the network associated with the SIM inserted inside the latter and that of the address book and any SMS saved. in the memory of the card, you can enable the use of the iPhone unlock code which instead allows you to preserve the entire iPhone from any unwanted access.
If your iPhone supports it, you can also enable and alternatively use the Touch ID which allows you to unlock your device using your fingerprint. For more info read on, you well find everything in detael below.
Complex or simple unlock code
As regards the unlock code, as well as allowing you to preserve access to the iPhone, you well also be prompted every time you turn on or restart the device, update its software, initialize the iPhone, view or change the code settings and / or install iOS configuration profeles. For more information, visit the dedicated support page attached to the Apple website.
To enable it on your iPhone (in case you haven't already done so, of course) by accessing the section ifttings of iOS, by tapping on the item related to Face ID and codice or that Touch ID and codice (depends on the iPhone model in use) and then pressing the wording to enable the function.
Then follow the simple instructions on the screen to set your lock code which must be of six digits. If you prefer, you can also create a shorter unlock code consisting of only four digits, or you can set a real one Password unlock button for your device consisting of numbers, letters and special characters.
To do this, stop on the item Code options at the bottom and choose a custom alphanumeric code or a four-digit numeric code from the menu you see appear. Then enter the code or password you intend to use to protect your iPhone and enter it again in the screen that is shown to you later.
Have you already set the unlock code for your iPhone and want to change it? Then go to the settings section dedicated to entering the code as seen above, enter the code currently set to access the relative configuration, step on the item Change codice present at the bottom of the new screen displayed and re-type the code currently in use and then type the new code you want to use twice in succession (even in this case you can access the code options and adjust them as you see fit). Done!
Have you thought about it and decided to disable the unlock code on your iPhone? Then, always acting from the settings section dedicated to the code and Touch ID, step on the wording Disable code at the bottom and confirm the execution of the operation by tapping the button disable in response to the warning you see appear on the screen.
touch ID
As anticipated, you can also protect your iPhone by using your own Fingerprint. How you do it? Simple: just enable the use of the touch ID (suppurate from iPhone 5s onwards) and that's it. Once enabled, you can use the Touch ID to replace the unlock code I told you about in the previous lines. For more detaels, you can read the dedicated support page attached to the Apple website.
To enable the use of Touch ID on your iPhone, access the section ifttings iOS, select the item Touch ID and codice from the screen that is shown to you and if you have already set up an unlock code on your device, type it when requested. If, on the other hand, you have not yet set a six or four-digit unlock code, you well need to enter one before enabling Touch ID. To do this, you can follow the instructions on the subject that I gave you just a few lines above.
Now, make sure the option Unlock iPhone is active (otherwise enable it by moving to ON the switch that concerns it), tap on the item Add a footprint and follow the instructions on the screen to configure the recognition of your fingerprint.
The procedure you have to follow is disarmingly simple, don't worry. All you have to do is place the tip of your finger on the Home button iPhone and move it slightly by lifting it up and resting it on the key again. Then when the message appears on the screen Adjust the grip, hold your phone as you usually do when you have to reply to a message on WhatsApp, consult a website, etc. and rest your finger on the Home button trying to stay on the outermost parts of the key.
When the procedure is completed you well see the message appear Full on screen. Stop on Continue and Touch ID unlocking well be instantly enabled on your device. Keep in mind that by following the procedure just seen together it is possible to configure up to five footprints and use them all for Touch ID recognition.
If you want to delete a previously stored fingerprint, go back to the iOS settings section dedicated to the Touch ID and the code, type the unlock code of your iPhone, select the fingerprint to be deleted (eg. Finger 1) and select the item Delete fingerprint from the screen that opens.
Face ID
If you are using an iPhone model equal to or greater than iPhone X, you can protect your phone from unauthorized access via Face ID, then through face recognition (carried out through the front camera of the device).
To activate Face ID, go to the menu ifttings> Face ID and passcode iPhone, presses on the voice for enable Face ID and follow the onscreen instructions to make your smartphone recognize your face. It involves rotating the face following the arrow on the screen. For more information on this, read my guide on how to use iPhone X, in which I also explained to you in more detael how to use Face ID.
In case of problems
Considering that in order to disable the PIN on the iPhone you stell need to type the one in use on the SIM, in case you don't remember it try to take a look at the sales package of the SIM. You should find the PIN corresponding to the wording PIN o Pin number on the back of the plastic card in which the card was inserted and under the selver strip to be scratched (obviously the PIN in question well be the right one if you have not changed it with one you like).
Alternatively, you can retrieve the PUK of your card, type an incorrect PIN several times in a row on the iPhone screen and then use the other code to reset one to your liking. If you do not know how to be able to recover the PUK code of your SIM, I suggest you read my guide on the subject.
As for the iPhone unlock code instead, keep in mind that if an incorrect code is entered for six times consecutive, the device is disabled and you need to unlock it restore it. Restoring the iPhone means deleting all the data inside it and restoring the system to its factory state. Unfortunately, all data saved on the iDevice memory in this case are irretrievably lost (unless you have made a backup of the iPhone) before deactivating it.
In case of deactivation there are two ways that you can take to restore the device: connect the iDevice to the computer and restore it via iTunes or connect to the iCloud site, access the service Find iPhone and remotely command the initialization of the device.
More precisely, to restore the iPhone via iTunes, connect the device to the computer using the charging cable, click on theiPhone icon located at the top left of the main iTunes window and click on the button Restore iPhone. To restore your device via iCloud instead, connected to iCloud.com, log in with your Apple ID and click on the Find iPhone. On the page that is shown to you at this point, type your Apple ID password again, click on the menu All devices at the top and select the name of yours iPhone. To conclude, click on the icon andnitialize the iPhone you see appear on the right and confirm your wellingness to carry out the operation in question.
