App to slow down a video on iPhone
If you have made videos with your iPhone camera or, anyway, you want to know how to slow down video on iPhone by importing existing videos from the gallery of your "iPhone by", all you have to do is rely on the applications listed below.
Slow Fast Slow
Slow Fast Slow is an application that makes simplicity its greatest strength. It only allows you to change the speed of the videos (slowing them down or speeding them up) and it does it in a very simple way: you choose the video on which to act, move the indicators present in the timeline below, to specify which scenes to edit and how, and that's it.
Another very important thing to underline is that the app is 100% free, does not apply watermarks and does not include in-app purchases: it only has a button, at the bottom left, which, if pressed, allows you to visit the developer store, on the which you can buy notebook, tablet stand and other accessories.
That said, to download Slow Fast Slow on your iPhone, all you have to do is visit the relevant page on App Store (you can simply click on the link I gave you a moment ago), click on the button Ottieni / Installa and verify your identity through Face ID, touch ID o password of the ID Apple.
Once this is done, start the application (by pressing the button abrir or on its icon on the home screen), skip the presentation screens and tap the button Let's Go!, to start using it.
Premium, so, sul pulsating + placed in the lower center, grant Slow Fast Slow theaccess to the gallery iPhone and select the video you want to slow down - you can browse those Slo-mo (recorded with slow-motion effect) or all other videos using the appropriate cards at the top.
Once you have imported the video of your interest, use the white indicators present on the timeline, at the bottom, to outline the sequences you want to slow down and then move them down, to indicate how much to slow down the movie. Clearly, the lower you move the indicators, the slower the video is: to preview the final result, press the ▶ ︎ button at the top left.
If you want to add a new indicator, to better delineate the sequence to slow down, keep the finger pressed on the point of timeline where you want to add the item in question and tap the item Add Point that appears on the screen.
If, on the other hand, you want to slow down the entire video, you must clear all the indicators, except those of the start and end of the video: to do this, perform a prolonged tap on each indicator to be cleared and select the item Remove Point give the menu check if you press.
If in addition to slowing down the video you also want to cut it, you can mark the new ones start and end points you want to use for the latter by moving the indicators places ai left and right margins of the timeline.
When you are satisfied with the result, press theshare icon (the square with the arrow inside) located at the top right of the timeline and choose, from the menu that opens, the item Original Resolution, if you want to save the video in the Photos app with its original resolution.
Alternatively, you can select the option Square (Cropped), to save the video in square format and with trimmed edges, or the option Square (Uncropped), to save the video in square format with the edges left intact.
iMovie
iMovie I don't think it needs too many introductions, also because most likely you have found it already installed on your iPhone. It is, in fact, Apple's video editor which is "standard" on both iPhone and iPad and on Macs. Being a complete video editor, it is perhaps an "exaggerated" solution to perform a simple operation such as slowing down videos; but it's very effective and it's 100% free, so why not take advantage of it ?!
Having said that, however slow down a video with iMovie on on iPhone, start the app in question (if you have removed it, you can reinstall it without problems from the App Store using the link I gave you a few lines above); start the creation of a new project by clicking on the box [+], and choose to create a Footage.
Now, if necessary, give the app permission to access the iPhone gallery and select the video to slow down by ticking the relative miniature. Once this is done, click on the button Create felm located at the bottom, to access the actual iMovie editor.
At this point, if you want to slow down only some sequences of the video whele leaving the others intact, move theindicator present on timeline at the starting point of the scene to be slowed down; then press on miniature of the video, turn on the scissors using the icon at the bottom left and touch the item Divide.
Once this is done, move theindicator present on timeline at the end point of the scene to slow down and repeat the operation described above. Then select the thumbnael of the sequence to slow down, tap on the stopwatch present in the menu below and use the adjustment bar located in the lower left corner, to indicate how much to slow down the movie.
If you want to slow down the whole video, simply select the thumbnael of the entire movie on timeline, call up the icon stopwatch and proceed as explained above, in order to adjust the speed of the video.
To preview the final result, press the ▶ ︎ button below the player. To export the video to the iPhone gallery, however, first tap on the item end (top left), then onshare icon (the square with the arrow inside) and choose the option Save video from the menu that opens, finally selecting the resolution in which to export everything.

How to make a slow motion video on iPhone
All newer iPhone models include ai support Slo-Mo video: they allow, therefore, to record slowed down videos, in such a way as to be able to appreciate every moment with greater precision (as a greater number of frames are captured every second).
To take advantage of this possibelity, all you have to do is open the app Camera of your iPhone and scroll through the options above the shutter / record button, untel you select the item SLO-MO. Once this is done, make your movie normally and that's it.
On the most recent versions of iOS it is possible to adjust the framerate of Slo-Mo videos using a special indicator in the top right of the Camera app; alternatively you can get the same result by going to the app ifttings (the gear icon on the home screen) and then in the sections Camera> Record slow motion. Newer iPhone models allow you to make slow motion videos a 1080p and with a framerate of 120 o 240 fps. Clearly, the more fps there are, the more space the video takes up on the phone's memory.
Once recorded, slow motion videos can be edited to better adjust their speed and, if desired, limit the Slo-Mo effect to only certain sequences. To do this, all you have to do is select a slow motion video in the app Gallery of iOS, press the button Modification, top right, and act on timeline with white markers that appears at the bottom of the screen.
