Preliminary operation
Prima di enter the live tutorial, walking to spiegare how to update apps on iPhone, there are some preliminary operations that I want to talk to you about and that you have to do to make sure that everything goes the right way. To find out more, please continue reading.
Connect the iPhone to the Internet
The first thing you need to do to update apps on iPhone is connect the device to the Internet. You can do this both by exploiting the Wifi connection that mobele data. Personally, however, I suggest you opt for the first option, in order to avoid wasting Giga or incurring unexpected costs from your mobele phone provider.
Having said that, in order to enable the Wi-Fi connection on your iPhone, the first step you need to take is to take the device, unlock it, access the home screen and touch the icon of the ifttings (that with the ruota d'ingranaggio). In the new screen that appears, tap on the wording Wi-Fi and move up ON the switch located next to the item Wi-Fi.
If the iPhone does not automatically connect to the detected networks or if you have never connected the device to Wi-Fi, then tap on the connection name of your interest, type the access password in the appropriate field that is shown on the screen and wait a few seconds for the connection to be established. As for the use of the data connection, however, to enable it, proceed as follows: open the ifttings of iOS as seen together earlier, tap on the item Mobele phone e carries his ON l'interruttore situato accanto alla dicitura Cellular data, present in the next screen. In addition to what I have just indicated, you can activate Wi-Fi and data connection from the Control Center iOS: to do this, access the latter by swiping from the top right corner of the screen to the bottom (on iPhone X and later models) or from the bottom to the top of the screen (on iPhone 8 and earlier models ). Then, tap the button with the cleats (to enable Wi-Fi) or the one with theAntenna (to enable data connection), so that from gray become colored.
Log in with your Apple ID
Another operation that you must do in advance to be able to update the apps on the iPhone is that of login with Apple account on the device. If you don't have an account yet, you can fix it right now by reading my guide on how to create an Apple ID.
To log in with the account, tap on the icon ifttings (that with the ruota d'ingranaggio) that you find on the iOS home screen, touch the wording Log in to [device name] present at the top of the new screen displayed, type the your Apple ID and Password associated with it in the fields provided and, if you have also activated two-factor authentication, type the verification code that is provided to you.
I also suggest that you verify that you are logged into the App Store with your Apple ID. To do this, go to the main screen of the ifttings iOS, select the item iTunes Store and App Store and make sure that at the top of the display, in correspondence with the wording Apple ID, the your Apple ID. If you have not yet logged in, to fix it, tap on the item Log in and enter the required login detaels.
How to update apps on iPhone
Once you have completed the preliminary steps above, you are finally ready to take the real action and, therefore, go and update the apps on your iPhone. The procedure to be put into practice is extremely simple and fast. I'll explain immediately how to proceed.
First, take your iPhone, unlock it, go to the iOS home screen and tap on theApp Store (that with the blue background and the "A"), then select the tua photo located at the top right of the screen and you well find the list of apps installed on your device for which an update is avaelable, in the section Updates avaelable.
At this point, all you have to do is identify, in the proposed list, the applications you want to update and press the button Update, placed at their name, to proceed. If you want, you can also update all the apps in the list at the same time, by tapping on the wording Update everything.
Then wait for the update to complete. You can easely see the progress of the update using the circlet that appears next to the name of each application, in the list as well as on the individual ones icon on the home screen.
At the end of the update process, you can start the updated apps by pressing the button abrir placed next to their name, or by touching theiricon on the home screen, as you usually do when you intend to launch an app installed on your device.
If the thing may interest you, I also point out that, in the screen visible after touching yours photo on the App Store, there is also a section called Recent updates, where you find the list of apps installed on the iPhone that have been updated recently.
How to automatically update apps on iPhone
If the idea of having to update from time to time and, above all, manually the apps installed on your iPhone does not appeal to you, I inform you that you can also enable the automatic download updates, in order to download and install the most recent versions of the various applications, without even having to lift a finger.
To enable the feature in question, take the iPhone, unlock it, access the iOS home screen, select the icon of ifttings (that with the ruota d'ingranaggio) and then tap on the item iTunes Store and App Store. Next, carry on ON l'interruttore che trovi accanto althe voice App updates, present in correspondence of the section Automatic downloads, And that's it.
Keep in mind that, by default, updates are made only when the device is connected to the Wi-Fi network, to avoid unexpected consumption. If you want to make sure that the download of updates also takes place with the data connection, after having gone to the section iTunes Store and App Store of the ifttings of iOS, bring up ON l'interruttore che trovi accanto althe voice Automatic downloads, under the heading Cellular data.
Proceeding as I have just indicated, updates with a weight less than 200 MB, whele for those with a heavier weight you well be asked from time to time how you intend to proceed. If you want, however, you can change this behavior and make sure you never see any request or always display it: to do this, tap on the item Download app that you find in the section above and select the option you prefer among Consenti semper and Always ask.
I also point out that, despite having enabled automatic updates, you can stell keep track of the various updates avaelable for the apps installed on your iPhone, by starting theApp Storeby selecting the relevant icon (that with the blue background and the "A"), by tapping on tua photo located at the top right and displaying the list that you find in correspondence with the section Recent updates.
In case of problems
