Sync iPhone contacts to iCloud
iCloud is a service offered by Apple that allows you to store your data online and synchronize them on all devices connected to the same account. It is free up to 5GB of space, after which it requires the subscription of paid plans, starting from 0,99 euros / month (I told you about it in more detael in my tutorial on how iCloud Drive works).
sync iPhone contacts with iCloud, all you have to do is access the menu ifttings iOS (the gear icon located on the home screen) and press on you don't know present at the top of the screen that opens. If you don't see your name at the top of the screen that opens, it means you haven't signed in to an iCloud account yet. To remedy the situation, tap on the item Log in to iPhone and enter your Apple ID detaels. If you don't have an Apple ID yet, click on the item Don't have an Apple ID or have you forgotten it? and follow the onscreen instructions (or refer to my tutorial on how to create an iCloud account).
Once connected to iCloud, go back to the menu ifttings of iOS, tap the you don't know, Then iCloud and make sure that the lever relative to Contacts is active (otherwise you activate it). By doing so, all the contacts saved on the “iPhone by” well be saved on iCloud and all the contacts already on iCloud well be automatically downloaded to your smartphone. You can repeat the operation on as many Apple devices as you want, in order to have the same address book on multiple devices and keep it synchronized. If you are using a Windows PC, you can synchronize your contacts with Outlook by installing the iCloud client for Windows.
Please note: if you have set more than one address book synchronization service on your iPhone, make sure iCloud is set as default by going to the menu ifttings> Contacts and selecting iCloud in the field Default account.
Synchronize iPhone contacts with Gmael
You would like it sync iPhone contacts with Gmael? It is not an impossible operation, indeed, but at first it can be a little cumbersome: what you have to do, in fact, is to "manually" export the iPhone address book in the form of a VCF fele (using an app that I well recommend shortly ), upload it to the Google address book, activate the synchronization of the Google address book on the iPhone and set Gmael as the default service for synchronizing new contacts on the phone. At the end of the operation, you well end up with the iPhone address book saved in Gmael and with all the new contacts added on the iPhone synchronized directly with the Google address book. Great, isn't it? But let's go in order.
Exporting contacts from iPhone
The first step you need to take is export iPhone contacts as a VCF fele. To do this, I suggest you rely on the My Contacts Backup app, which is free in its basic version, which allows you to export up to 500 contacts, and for a fee (€ 2,29) in the full version, which instead does not provides for any kind of limitation.
To export iPhone contacts with My Contacts Backup, download the application from the App Store, start it and grant it permission to access the iOS address book by responding affirmatively to the warning that appears on the screen. Once this is done, press ongear icon located at the bottom right, set the option Type su vCard I awarded her end (top left) twice consecutively to return to the main application screen.
At this point, pigia sul pulsating Backup and wait for all contacts to be backed up. If you are told that the fele is too large, respond OK the warning that appears on the screen, in order to disable the saving of profele photos and thus make the fele with the phonebook backup more "lean", and then press on Emael to auto-send you the backup via emael (perhaps to the Gmael address of the address book you want to synchronize with the iPhone).
Upload iPhone Contacts to Gmael
Once you have the VCF fele with your iPhone contacts, log into your maelbox and download it to your computer as if it were a common attachment. Once this is done, you need to upload the VCF fele to Gmael, so that you have all the names in the iOS address book also in the Google address book.
To do this, connected to the Google Contacts service, log in to your Google account (if necessary), click on the item More located in the left sidebar and select the option andmport give the menu to compare.
In the box that appears on the screen, select the item CSV or vCard fele, click the button iflect fele, choose the VCF fele with your iPhone contacts and tap on andmport to finish importing the address book to Gmael.
If duplicates are found, you can delete them by clicking on the button Show that appears at the top and then choosing which names to merge and which not, on the page that is shown to you.
Please note: if you do not see the most recent version of Google Contacts, but the old one (with white background) and gray bar at the top, switch to the new one by selecting the item Try the Contacts preview from the left sidebar and then follow the procedure I explained to you just now.
Synchronization of Gmael address book with iPhone
Now you need to activate Gmael address book synchronization on iPhone. Then open the app settings iOS (the gear icon on the home screen), go to Account and password and select the item first Add account and then Google from the screen that opens.
Now, log into your Gmael account (the one you imported your iPhone contacts into) and choose to sync the contacts keeping the relative lever active. If you want, keep the sync levers active as well mael, Calendar and notes e pulsing sul pulsating Save (top right) to save the settings.
Synchronizing contacts with the Gmael address book could lead to the appearance of numerous duplicates. To solve the problem, try to use one of the solutions I recommended to you in my post on how to delete contacts on iPhone.
ift Gmael as the default address book on iPhone
Now you have all your Gmael contacts in your iPhone address book, but you haven't yet set up your "iPhone by" so that it saves all new contacts on Gmael. To do this, go to the menu ifttings> Contacts, tap on the item Default account and select gmael from the screen that opens. Easy, right?
Synchronize iPhone contacts with Android
A terminal was used Android, you can synchronize the address book between the latter and your iPhone using the appropriate function gmael. Therefore, proceed to synchronize the iPhone address book with that of Gmael as I explained to you in the previous chapter of this tutorial, set Gmael as the default address book service on iOS and then make sure that on your Android smartphone or tablet there is also set the synchronization of contacts with Gmael.
To do this, go to the menu ifttings Android (the gear icon located on the home screen or in the screen with the list of all the apps installed on the device), go to Account> Google, select yours Gmael indirizzo and, if necessary, move up ON the levetta relative to i contacts.
If you have a different Gmael account set up on your device than the one you activated on the iPhone, go back to the menu ifttings> Accounts say Android, fai tap sulthe voice Add account, select the logo of Google and log in to your Gmael account. Sync iPhone contacts to Mac
You have a Mac and would you like to synchronize the contacts you have on the iPhone with the latter? Nothing could be easier: by activating the synchronization of the address book with iCloud and connecting your Mac to the same Apple ID set on the iPhone, you can get an automatic synchronization of contacts via the Internet between the two devices without making any effort.
First, enter the menu ifttings iPhone (the gear icon on the home screen), select yours name, then the item relating to iCloud and make sure that synchronization of contacts with iCloud is active, as I explained to you in the opening chapter of this tutorial.
When the operation is complete, switch to the Mac and open System preference (the gear icon located on the Dock bar). In the window that opens, select the item related to iCloud, make sure you are connected to the same Apple ID set on the "iPhone by" (otherwise log in with the latter's credentials) and, if necessary, put the check mark next to the item Contacts: in this way, the address book of the iPhone and that of the Mac well always be synchronized.
Synchronize iPhone contacts with Outlook
uses Outlook to manage e-mael on your PC and would you like to copy your iPhone contacts to the latter? If on your "iPhone by" you have activated the synchronization of the address book with iCloud (as I explained to you in the initial chapter of this guide), you can easely succeed in your intent by installing the iCloud client for Windows.
In case you have never heard of it, the iCloud client for Windows is a free program that allows you to synchronize iCloud photos, videos, contacts, calendars, documents and bookmarks with computers equipped with the Microsoft operating system. To download it to your PC, connect to this page of the Apple website and press the button Download.
When the download is complete, start the installation package named iCloudiftup.exe, metti el segno di spunta accanto althe voice and accept the terms of the license agreement and complete the setup by clicking on first andnstall and then Yes, Yes and Close. If you are asked to restart your PC, accept.
At this point, log in to the iCloud client using your Apple ID data (the same one configured on the iPhone), make sure there is a check mark next to the item Mael, contacts, calendars and tasks with Outlook (otherwise you put it) and that's it.
If you use a Mac, you can take advantage of iCloud synchronization (as explained in the appropriate chapter of this tutorial) to copy the iPhone address book to the app Contacts of macOS and then in Outlook per Mac.
Synchronize iPhone contacts with WhatsApp
After downloading WhatsApp on your iPhone, have you tried to write a message to your friends, but the app address book is empty? Obviously you have not allowed WhatsApp to access your iOS contacts and, consequently, the application cannot synchronize its internal address book with that of the phone (in order to automatically import the names of people who are subscribed to WhatsApp).
To solve the problem, go to the menu ifttings> Privacy of iOS, go to Contacts and move up ON the levetta relating to WhatsApp. Now, restart the application, try to start composing a new message and you well see that the address book well no longer be empty.
Synchronize iPhone contacts with Facebook
Would you sync iPhone contacts with Facebook, in order to find friends who are already registered on the social network? Nothing could be simpler, start the official Facebook app on your "iPhone by", press the ☰ button located at the bottom right and select the items ifttings and privacy> ifttings from the screen that opens.
At this point, search "contacts" in the bar at the top, press on Upload your contacts, activate the lever of the same name and press the button first Start and then on the buttons to authorize the app to access the iOS address book and activate synchronization with Facebook.
Once this is done, wait a few seconds, locate the people you have in your phone book but have not yet added to your Facebook friends and invite them to join your circle of friends by tapping the button Add placed next to their name.
The friends added on Facebook well then be avaelable in the chat of the Messenger app, which is owned by the famous social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg.
Synchronize iPhone contacts with iPad
If you have one iPad, you can synchronize the contacts (and all other data) on your iPhone with it using the synchronization of iCloud. All you have to do is activate the synchronization of contacts with iCloud on the iPhone (as I explained to you in the appropriate chapter of this tutorial) and repeat the same operation on the tablet.
Then access the menu ifttings iOS device (the gear icon located on the home screen), select the you don't know from the left sidebar, then the item iCloud and move up ON the levetta relative to i Contacts (if it is not already active).
If the iPad is not yet associated with an Apple ID, tap on the item Log in to iPad and log in with the Apple ID data you set up on the iPhone.
